The first volume of Science of Light focused on teaching the primary components of Vedic astrology with the intent to have students able to read a chart, have access to traditional scriptures and know how to deepen their knowledge with experience. The second volume goes deeper into the philosophical foundations of Vedic astrology. Our individual reality is created by the thought structures and language we have. This book, like the first is chock full of things from his parampara that you won't find in any other Jyotish book. Like I ran the order of how to find out the conception chart on my daughter and it worked like magic. My jaw kind of dropped. Anyways, if you have some Jyotish background, I'd actually start with this book first possibly as he gets into philosophy a bit more and bigger picture things - or just cut to the chase and get both. Also check out Visti Larsen's book, another student of their teacher, Sanjay Rath, as they make his teachings accessible to the rest of the world.Product details

I like it, the book is excellent and the explanations very detailed, but lacked examples which is so important in astrology learning process.
Freedom Cole has a gift for explaining the vastly complex and infinite subject of Jyotish astrology in a way that is clear, concise and engaging. I have many books on Jyotish, by several reputed authors, but keep on returning to study my copies of The Science of Light, Volume I; and now, happily I have Volume II which is full of fascinating, informative and workable knowledge. The author has a most sensible way of organizing chapters and layering the information in a way that is digestible, and has created practical learning exercises at the end of the chapters. These books are an invaluable resource on the subject of Jyotish/ Vedic Astrology.
As a follow up to Freedom's first book, this is another excellent resource for any jyotishi interested in a more in depth understanding of Vedic knowledge, astronomy, psychology, mantras, sutras and more. Freedom is one of my favorite jyotish resources and he has a wonderful way of sharing Jaimini jyotish from Pundit Sanjay Rath's lineage that makes it more accessible. I highly recommend this book for those wanting deeper awareness and insights about jyotish.
